Fringe: No Brainer AKA Snowcrash

I just watched Fringe and it wasn't a bad episode. The problem is that I have already read a far superior version of the story called Snow Crash. In Fringe this episode a computer programmer builds a virus that kills people thorough the internet and Olivia tracks him down.
In Snow Crash, you have the world greatest swordsman, freelance hacker, and pizza delivery man who discovers a computer virus which can infect the minds of coders. Both are science fiction but the characters in Snow Crash are far superior and the science while still science fiction at least has the feeling of something that could happen.
