The first trials of Embryonic stem cell research has been allowed by the FDA. Ten people who have spinal injuries which allow movement in their arms but not legs will be injected.
This trial is to test the safety of the stem cells, but as someone who knows multiple people with spinal injuries I have hope that someday they may be able to walk thanks to this new technology.
