I am a bit confused about what to call Terminator Salvation. It takes place after the events of Terminator 3, but it also takes place before the events which caused all of the events in Terminator 1 and 2.
One of the things which I have always loved about the Terminator movies is that they are one large Paradox. Paradox's are something that most science fiction tries to avoid but Terminator walks directly into. Since we don't have time travel this is just a reasonable as any other possibility.
What I do know about Terminator Salvation is that it will look good. Here are two pictures of the concept art.
