Three Other Upcoming Sci-fi Movies

In the anticipation of big movies such as Watchmen, Star Trek and Transformers 2 it is easy to ignore some of the other movies which are coming out. Here are three glimpses of three science fiction movies that show the great variety of the genre.

I hadn't heard of Pandorum at all until I saw this clip. It looks interesting though the clip itself doesn't appear to be online yet the panel where some of the stars talk is. Evidently there is city sized spacecraft and people are waking up on it without any memories.

Alien Trespass is a movie set in a small 1950's town. Not the real 1950's town but the one that is in the TV and movies. I can see this being really bad, but it also has the potential to be quite funny if they can hit the perfect chord. Sort of a mix between "Reefer Madness" and "The Day the Earth Stood Still"

The best thing about cartoons is the cast they can get for them. You can work around voice actors schedules, meet anywhere, and don't charge nearly as much. The cast includes Freddie Highmore as Astro Boy, Nicolas Cage, Kristen Bell, Nathan Lane, Matt Lucas, Bill Nighy, Eugene Levy, and Donald Sutherland. I never watched Astro Boy but the trailer looks like this could be a reasonable kid's movie.
